National Eucharistic Pilgrimage – June 11-12, 2026

Join us for any or all of the events held in conjunction with the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage “One Nation Under God” Route passing through the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington on June 11 and 12, 2026.

Under the patronage of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, we look forward to walking together, worshipping together, and glorifying Jesus in the Eucharist as the source and summit of our faith.

11:00 AM – Arrival of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage

Bay Bridge Marina (357 Pier 1 Rd, Stevensville, MD 21666) Kent Island, Maryland – the Archdiocese of Baltimore will introduce the Perpetual Pilgrim team and hand off our Eucharistic Lord to the Diocese of Wilmington. Following a brief blessing of those gathered, please join us for Mass at nearby St. Christopher’s Church.

The Archdiocese of Baltimore team may arrive as early as 10:15 AM — should the Perpetual Pilgrims arrive earlier, we will move to St. Christopher’s approximately 15 minutes after their arrival and hold a brief period of Eucharistic Adoration at St. Christopher’s prior to the 11:30 AM Mass.

11:30 AM – Mass

St. Christopher’s Church, Chester, MD (Kent Island) – The Diocese of Wilmington will officially begin our leg of the Eucharistic Pilgrimage with Mass at St. Christopher’s and Most Rev. William E. Koenig as Principal Celebrant.

2:00 PM – Holy Hour, Meet & Greet, & Food Pantry Donation

Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Easton, MD – Jesus and the Perpetual Pilgrims travel to Ss. Peter and Paul Parish in Easton Maryland and you are invited to meet and greet the Perpetual Pilgrim team, join us for Eucharistic Adoration, and connect with Catholic Charities staff and programs available in the Diocese of Wilmington.

Attendees at this event are asked to bring a shelf stable pantry item for donation to Catholic Charities Diocesan-wide food pantry initiative to keep our local food pantries stocked throughout the Summer.

A holy hour will take place from 2:00-3:00 PM followed by a meet and greet in the social hall from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Limited refreshments will be available during the meet and greet.

5:30 PM – Eucharistic Procession

St. Michael the Archangel, Georgetown, DE – Join us for a Eucharistic Procession in the immediate area of St. Michael the Archangel (Robinson Street, James Street, N Front Street, and Edward Street). The Eucharistic Procession will be followed by Mass with the St. Michael’s community.

6:30 PM – Mass (in Spanish)

St. Michael the Archangel, Georgetown, DE – Following our Eucharistic Procession, join us for a Mass in Spanish commemorating the Vigil Mass of the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus with the vibrant Catholic community of St. Michael the Archangel. The Vy. Rev. Glenn M. Evers will be the main celebrant with Rev. Carlos Ochoa as homilist.

7:30 PM – Evening of Fellowship & Faith

St. Michael the Archangel, Georgetown, DE – At the conclusion of Mass, join us for an evening of fellowship and faith, meet the Perpetual Pilgrim team and celebrate the faith of our Georgetown community. Food and drink will be available in addition to an opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration.

Please bring chairs or a picnic blanket for your family as seating may be limited.

(Please note, the Perpetual Pilgrim team will depart Georgetown no later than 9:30 PM)

10:30 PM – 5:30 AM – Overnight Eucharistic Adoration

St. Mary Star of the Sea, Ocean City, MD – Spend time with our Eucharistic Lord into the early hours of June 12th as the Cabrini Route reaches Ocean City, Maryland. St. Mary Star of the Sea is the first Catholic Church in Ocean City, MD.

There is no on site parking at St. Mary Star of the Sea – metered parking is available in the immediate area of the Church.

6:00 AM – Sunrise Eucharistic Procession

– Starting Point: Ocean City Lifesaving Museum (813 S. Atlantic Avenue)
– Ending Point: Holy Savior Parish (1705 Philadelphia Avenue)
Join us in prayer and procession as we bring our Eucharistic Lord to the Ocean City Boardwalk! Procession will begin at 6:00 AM near the Ocean City Lifesaving Museum at the southern tip of the Boardwalk and will end at Holy Savior Parish. Exit the Boardwalk at 17th Street and use the crosswalks at Baltimore and Philadelphia Avenues to reach the church.


Parking is limited and paid in this part of Ocean City, please plan accordingly. If possible plan to park your car closer to Holy Savior and walk south to connect with the procession. A parking shuttle will be available on a first come/first serve basis with limited seating to transport participants from Holy Savior to the Lifesaving Museum beginning at 5:30 AM.

7:15 AM – Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament

Holy Savior, Ocean City, MD – Following the Eucharistic Procession along the Boardwalk, we will conclude our time in Ocean City with Benediction at Holy Savior Church.

The Perpetual Pilgrim team will depart immediately following Benediction.

10:30 AM – Mass and Consecration to the Sacred Heart

St. Peter Cathedral, Wilmington, DE – All are welcome to join us at the Cathedral of St. Peter for Mass as we close out the CDOW leg of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. In unity with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Bishop William E. Koenig will lead the Consecration to the Sacred Heart as part of the liturgy.

Street parking in the immediate area of the Cathedral is limited. Please plan to park in a nearby parking garage or a few blocks from the Cathedral.

12:00 PM – Departure to the Diocese of Camden

Bishop Koenig and the Perpetual Pilgrim team will depart from downtown Wilmington via boat across the Delaware River to meet Bishop Williams and the faithful of the Diocese of Camden for the next leg of the Eucharistic Pilgrimage.

Parking and public view will be limited in the immediate area of the boat departure. Faithful are welcome to view the departure from the Wilmington Riverwalk and the Jack A. Markell Trail — parking is available in the Public Parking Lots at the Wilmington Riverfront.

In the event of foul weather where a water departure cannot take place, the Perpetual Pilgrim team and a limited number of diocesan staff will depart from the Cathedral of St. Peter to the Diocese of Camden immediately following the closing Mass.

At the heart of each event is the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Attendees are reminded to maintain reverence and respect especially during liturgical events.

National Eucharistic Pilgrimage events in the Diocese of Wilmington are rain or shine! Especially for events in Georgetown, DE and Ocean City, MD – please plan for the weather including bringing rain gear, sunscreen, water, hats, sunglasses, etc. The weather report is calling for high temperatures and possible thunderstorms

Unless otherwise noted, food and drink will not be provided during any part of the Pilgrimage. Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks and water to events as needed for personal consumption.

Parking will be available onsite at each location unless otherwise noted. Please reach out to specific parishes with questions.
