Catholic Forum, Aug. 27, 2017 – Guest: Mary Gispert

On this episode of Catholic Forum, after a brief introduction, the Holy Gospel for the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time, and a musical selection from the CD, “Catholic Treasures,” Ms. Mary Gispert will discuss the efforts of the people of Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Wilmington, Delaware to help the people of Gulu, a city in Northern Uganda.  The Delaware Catholic community has built a preschool, a “piggery,” and have plans to build a primary school for this African community that has been plagued by civil war, genocide, and poverty. Mary also tells us about the upcoming “Give It Up For Gulu” 5K fundraiser.

The Little Sisters of the Poor have been helping the added poor of the area for over 100 years.
