Father Paul was born in Millington, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 1863. His cause for canonization was recently opened by Cardinal Timothy Dolan of the Archdiocese of New York. He is the first person born in what is now the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington to be considered for sainthood.
