Community Members are invited to “Ignite Hope” through sponsorship and team participation at annual event held on November 21, 2026.
Catholic Charities is inviting businesses, organizations, families, and community members to support neighbors in need by becoming sponsors or forming teams for its upcoming Igniting Hope 5K event; honoring Bishop Koenig’s call for all to serve. Proceeds will benefit Catholic Charities’ support programs serving Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mark’s High School (2501 Pike Creek Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808), the family-friendly race will raise critical funds for programs that provide food assistance, housing stability services, counseling, financial empowerment education, and other essential supports for individuals and families in need.
Community members are encouraged to gather coworkers, friends, family members, faith groups, and organizations to participate as a team. Local businesses can further their impact through tax-deductible sponsorships that help sustain vital services while demonstrating a commitment to strengthening the community.
The event will feature complimentary snacks, water, pizza, beer, and family activities.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations to support Catholic Charities’ hunger relief efforts.
