Welcome to the Catholic schools of the Diocese of Wilmington where we educate 8800+ students in PreKindergarten-2 through Grade 12 in Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Our diocesan, parish, and independent Catholic schools offer a wide diversity of programs and opportunities which form students in faith, challenge them with academic rigor, and lead them to be of service to others.
The distinguishing feature of every Catholic school is its emphasis on faith formation. Through prayer, worship, community, and service, students are educated as disciples of Jesus Christ. Catholic virtues are infused throughout the curriculum to provide students with a worldview that sees others as sisters and brothers and develops them as student leaders today and world leaders tomorrow.
Elementary and high schools in the Diocese of Wilmington are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the curriculum incorporates both state and national standards for learning. The core curriculum is enriched by technology, the visual and performing arts, world language, co-and extra-curricular activities, and athletics. Standardized assessment data demonstrate the academic excellence of Diocese of Wilmington students as compared to state and national averages at all levels. High school graduation rates hover at 100% and college scholarship acceptances and awards are impressive.
