Silver and Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebrations Liturgy & Brunch

This event is scheduled each year to honor couples celebrating 25, 50, and more years of married life. One Sunday morning in the fall of each year, the Bishop invites couples to Mass and brunch to celebrate their many years of married life, and to say "thank you" for their gift of steadfast love and commitment - a sure sign of God's love for us all.

This year's Wedding Anniversary Celebration will take place on Sunday, October 10, 2010. Mass will begin at 12:30 PM at St. John the Beloved parish in Wilmington, DE, with a reception to follow. The reception is free of charge. Registration is required.  You may send the following information to the Office for Family Life, 1626 N. Union Street, Wilmington, DE  19806.

Natural Family Planning (NFP)

Natural Family Planning is a method for married couples to plan their families using day-to-day observation of the naturally occurring signs and symptoms of the fertile and infertile phases of a woman's menstrual cycle. NFP methods take advantage of the changes associated with ovulation, treating each cycle as unique.

A woman needs not have "regular" cycles to use NFP. Natural Family Planning helps couples understand their combined fertility and enables them to make sound and effective decisions about conceiving a child or spacing their children.

Couples using NFP to avoid pregnancy abstain from intercourse during the fertile phase of a woman's cycle. Couples who wish to become pregnant take advantage of the fertile time.

To arrange for NFP classes, contact the Office for Family Life at 302-295-0657.

Let's Keep Talking is a 2 1/2 hour human sexuality program integrating Catholic moral values for 13-14 year old teens and their parents.
